On October 18th, 2016 James Gleick (Author) and Maria Popova appeared at the 92nd Street Y to discuss his new book, TIME TRAVEL: A HISTORY. Designer Chip Kidd commissioned this special cover on a blank “variant cover” copy of BATMAN: BLACK AND WHITE. The art was inspired by Frank Miller’s Graphic Novel,”The Dark Knight Returns” and it features Batman with his trusty sidekick, Carrie Kelley Robin!
