Just a quick post to share this fun photo from a friend who saw Chip Kidd’s design work at a Hastings Book Store location! As mentioned here, Chip designed a special set of “Variant” book covers for the CONVERGENCE Story line that is affecting all the superhero characters in the DC Comics universe. In collaboration with the San Diego Comic Con the comic book industry has an event known as THE EISNER AWARDS. It’s named after the extremely prolific and highly influential Graphic Novel Artist/Writer, Will Eisner. This year, 2015, the designer Chip Kidd made the list along with his two partners in crime, Anne Ishii and Graham Kolbeins.
