An extremely talented Artist & Friend sent us this wonderful photo recently showing a custom statue he created. His name is Deane Aikins and his work is AWESOME! Check out this “Lord Death Man” Statue he made from scratch! He writes a blog about his love of Batman, Collecting Comic Books and His Obsessions with Vintage Toys. It’s titled, WHEN BATMOBILES FLY. There, he did a write-up about making this statue so please be sure to check that out, LINK.

Now, for those of you unfamiliar with this character he is a long lost Batman Villain that was brought back to life (excuse the pun) by Chip Kidd’s book, “BAT-MANGA! The Secret History of Batman in Japan”. This book celebrated the 1960’s artwork of the Japanese Manga Artist, Jiro Kuwata.  Here is an example of his work and then below is the book cover for Chip’s book (Pantheon, Paperback version).

Oh yeah, we also gotta mention that Lord Death Man appeared in “animation form” in an episode of Cartoon Network’s BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD. Check it out!
