Congrats Chris Ware!! At this year’s 2019 San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) Chris won the very prestigious INKPOT AWARD! This is sort of like the Oscars™ for the Comic Book Art World! With the Book publisher, Pantheon, he just released his latest book titled, RUSTY BROWN. In collaboration with the San Diego Comic Con the comic book industry has an event known as THE EISNER AWARDS. It’s named after the extremely prolific and highly influential Graphic Novel Artist/Writer, Will Eisner. This year, 2015, the designer Chip Kidd made the list along with his two partners in crime, Anne Ishii and Graham Kolbeins. Comic-Con International revealed the art for this year’s Souvenir Book at a special event co-sponsored with the CBLDF. The event, part of Will Eisner Week, was held at the Society of Illustrators in New York City on Wednesday, March 4.
