Dan Greenfield, a writer/reporter for the always brilliant 13th DIMENSION website, has been interviewing a ton of Batman-related artists and writers lately and here is a shout-out for an interview he did with the designer and author, Chip Kidd (This is actually “Part 2” in a continuing series).

Anyone who knows Chip knows he is crazy about “Batman”, ha ha, so they get pretty serious about the character. In this segment (link down below) they discuss the BATMAN #1 “Famous 1st Edition” Treasury Comic Book, published many years ago by DC Comics, that reprinted the very 1st issue of Batman.

#BATMAN BLACK AND WHITE: The Sketch Covers Lecture Opens SEPT. 29th

It’s now official! The ART LECTURE event for the “BATMAN BLACK AND WHITE: The Sketch Covers” show is on Tuesday, September 29th and it starts at 6:30 pm and runs until 8:00 pm or maybe a little bit later. One thing to remember is that this is just a few days before the 2015 New York Comic Con. So, if you have plans to go to NYCC then you should also make plans to visit this show.

Admission:
$10 Members | $15 Non-members | $7 Seniors/students (with valid ID. Undergraduate students)

Now, if you can’t make the lecture then don’t worry. The actual show opened on September 9th and will run until November 7th, 2015. So even if you can’t make this new lecture event you still have time to enjoy the artwork.
