First off, we would love to congratulate Neil Gaiman and J.H. Williams III, who received the Hugo Award for Best Graphic Story for their work on Sandman: Overture! Wow, that’s so cool! Now, what does CBLDF mean? It’s the “Comic Book Legal Defense Fund” and it’s a non-profit organization that fights censorship in the comic book and graphic novel community. Neil Gaiman is the Advisory Board Co-Chair and a Board of Directors alumnus at CBLDF and has been a long-time supporter of their mission to preserve and protect the First Amendment.
