We want to congratulate Book Designer, Author, and Editor Chip Kidd on receiving this year’s 2015 INKPOT AWARD at the recent San Diego Comic-Con International!! Inkpot Awards are given to individuals for their contributions to the worlds of comics, science fiction/fantasy, film, television, animation, and fandom services.

Chip won in the “Comic Arts” Category and the wonderful thing about this award, besides the amazing honor, is that they do not announce that you have even been nominated until the exact moment they are given away on stage. So, they are always a complete surprise!!

Chip Kidd was actually at the 2015 EISNER AWARDS ceremony because he was nominated, along with his two co-authors, Anne Ishii & Graham Kolbeins, for an EISNER AWARD in the “Best Anthology” category for their new book, “Massive: Gay Erotic Manga and the Men Who Make It”, published by Fantagraphics (out now).

Unfortunately, they didn’t win. The “Best Anthology”  Eisner Award went to “Little Nemo: Dream Another Dream”, edited by Josh O’Neill, Andrew Carl, & Chris Stevens (Locust Moon) and it was well deserved too because it’s a very well-designed beautiful book about a classic American comic strip character that we all love. So, congratulations to them, they did a great job on a fun book.
